I love to eat at Chipotle; it's healthy if you want it to be (or you can order sour cream and cheese on a burrito tortilla!), it's filling, and it's fairly reasonably priced ($6.40 after tax for my order). So, I decided to base an entire diet around that... When I decided to eat healthier, I was at about 208 lbs. Without counting calories or doing anything drastic, I slipped down to 186 lbs. With my goal in sight (160-165lbs), I was encouraged to find a faster way that didn't involve any suffering. This is my routine. Breakfast Coffee with milk & sugar: 60 calories Large Banana: 120 calories Lunch Veggie bowl at Chipotle: 485 calories Dinner Veggie bowl at Chipotle: 485 calories Here's the recipe for my 485 calorie veggie bowl creation... 130: Cilantro-Lime Rice (3 oz) 120: Black Beans (4 oz) 20: Fajita Vegetables (2.5 oz) 20: Tomato Salsa (3.5 oz) 40: Red Tomatillo Salsa (2 fl oz) 150: Guacamole (3.5 oz) 5: Romaine Lettuce (1 oz) And to maximize flavor, I drizzle some Chipotle Tobasco over the whole thing, mix and enjoy. I feel STUFFED after eating this. And don't forget that the guacamole is free when you order a "veggie bowl." After years, Chipotle finally shared their nutritional information, which you can find here: chipotle.com/en-US/menu/nutritional_information/nutritional_inf... ... I would encourage you to customize the bowl how you'd like. Remember, cutting 3,500 calories out of your weekly diet (500 calories per day) equates to losing 1lb per week.
