I think it's sad that we use prisons as an "asylum of last resort" for the mentally ill. They neither get the proper treatment nor necessary familial support in this kind of environment. Mental illness is real and it should be treated as such.
How do we get mentally ill prisoners into better conditions? Or do you think they belong in prison?
