Does the death penalty seem reasonable to you? Logical? Should the practice be condemned? Should it be made into a pay per view event?

If the death penalty isn't deterring crime, then what is its purpose?

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. I think it's silly that we condemn murder, but then turn a blind eye to the death penalty. I feel like sitting in a cell for 3 consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole would be a much harsher punishment then letting them die. It's cowardly, immoral and cruel and unusual punishment.

We are also one of the only developed countries that still uses the death penalty today, and conveniently, of the developed nations, have some of the highest crime statistics. Clearly the death penalty is deterring crime...NOT!
